We were in Florida on Monday and ran the AC. On Tuesday we moved to central Georgia and needed the heat for two days. Today I switched back to AC and nothing. The OFF works, the HEAT works and the FAN works but no AC.
Any ideas?

Virg,
Try cycling thru the menu bottom on your thermostat. That works for us.

Paul!
Miss Jo thinks you are a genius and continues to berate my mechanical prowess.
Thanks, I can watch TV in the LR tonight instead of having to go into the BR and run that AC. On the other hand, it'll probably be cool enough in the BR tonight anyway.

You guys are too kind. Even a blind squirrel gets a nut once and a while. I found this by accident once. Don't know why it works but it is worth a try.

Even the rubber we know today was discoverd by accident. Charles Goodyear tried for five years to find a way to make rubber a useful product. He wanted rubber that would not melt in the heat or become brittle and stiff in the cold. He applied various treatments to the substance, but none worked. One winter night in 1839, Goodyear accidentally dropped a piece of rubber sprinkled with sulfur onto a red-hot stove. To his astonishment, instead of melting, the rubber flattened out into a small disk. Lifting it from the stove, he found it was still flexible and strong. He then hung the disk on his doorpost overnight in the winter cold. The next morning, the disk still had its rubber-like qualities. Goodyear had accidentally invented vulcanization"”the process of heating rubber treated with sulfur to give the rubber elasticity, hardness and strength.

There's a Goodyear Blimp based in Long Beach that can be seen from the NB 405 freeway.
I use it as a landmark for the I-10 freeway. When NB, when you see the blimp, you are about to arrive at the on-ramp for the I-10 freeway.

Phil,
When they move the Blimp for a Football game, do you miss your exit? Sorry, it's the best I could do with such a good line on short notice.
