According to "Dexter Axles" they told me that GM told them the 2014 trucks would no longer need the adapter. If so, will I need to disconnect the adapter now mounted on my fifth wheel that I had on there for my 2011 or will the brakes work anyhow on the new 2014? No one can seem to answer the question and I pick up the truck tomorrow. Anybody out there pulling with a 2014 GM product??

I have 2014 Chevy 3500 dually......sorry to say you'll still need the adapter for the your new GM truck. I'm a little confused cause the adapter should be in your trailer.......and
you're only swapping trucks not the trailer, right? Shouldn't need to do a thing. BTW....I'm retired from GM service engineering......my contacts say that the 2016 model won't need the adapter. Sometimes it takes us a while.....
Another BTW you'll love the pulling performance and engine braking of the new truck.
