Arggg, slide creeps out!
Okay please bear with me, Tom has talked about this before and I am trying to find that thread. The freaken kitchen slide will not stay closed, I falls out on the bottom about 2 inches. I changed the hydraulic fluid (over filled what a mess). I cycled all the slides but this one still falls out. Something to do with a bad O ring, something was clogged and I was supposed to open a valve. I just don’t remember the details. I will continue to look for the old thread. Thanks for any advise!

I feel your pain. Had the same problem with my elite suite 5er. Replaced rams, solinoids etc...nothing worked. You can use slide locks (available at most rv parts stores). I wedged a 4X4 between the wall and the slide lip when travelling to keep it in.

Take a look at this past post that explains how to bleed the hydraulic system.

Mike, I think the post your looking for is this one.

Couple of questions. Was this problem prior to fluid change? Is this happening when towing or just sitting? How in the heck did you overfill the system? I wonder if you "injested" some specks of dirt when filling the reservoir.

Thanks for the responses. It happens when it is just sitting in the driveway. I have not towed in a while so am not sure if it will come out while towing. . I changed the fluid in an effort to correct the issue. It was low. I filled it to the fill line but did not have the rear stabilizers up so when I pulled them up there was to much fluid and it over flowed. The slide stayed in for a few weeks but has started to creep out again. I will follow the instructions on the thread you guys linked and see what happens.

I would also check that solenoid valves are open at hydraulic pump one for each slide out 1/4" Hex or plain finger knob with standard slotted on end, style varies by pump. You apparently close valve to run slide manually and I was told if not opened back up slide can creep open when traveling .. just may be the valve your supposed to open good luck..

A quick follow up....Followed the directions from the link Tom listed, which was to open the solenoid, run the slide out and back in three times, close solenoid back up and close slide. Whether it bleed air out from my overfill, or removed trash from the opening I do not know, but I do know it worked! Slide has not crept out at all in over a week!

Masch, May want to double check solenoid open or close position for use as I was told you close for manual slide operation then open when done or may creep unless open is really closed or it could just be of alternate facts

Max, I think you got it backwards. Here is a photo of the sticker in the hydraulic manafold. It states to open the solenoid valve.....

Masch, I am going off info from Service Center to have soleinoids open so slides don't creep in travel and close to rum manually. Could it be a diffrent system? perhaps noting mine have always been open. Any insightfulness knowledge in this area would be interesting.

Is this a forum for thoughtful sharing of RV knowledge or platform to boast of your alcoholic endeavors, if so take a tip and try some Dried Green Grape down your Cali Way from the Humboldt County Line
