Bent Slide Flange

2004 Excel 33 RSE. We damaged the flange on the right side of our couch slide. I have talked to Vicki and Ralph about this and they don't carry this flange any more. I'm wondering if there would be a possibility that an RV salvage or junk yard may be able to help but not sure if there are any. I wonder if anybody out there might be able to help me.

You can get a flange to just make it work, but obviously it'll never be the same.

Not sure exactly which flange you are talking about, a pic sure would help. I would think that any reputable welding shop would be able to help you out. What happened to the original? rockin'

Bent Flange

this is the damaged flange. Most of the machine shops in our area have gone under I'm afraid. If i can't get one then i will have to try and straighten it myself somehow. I just thought if maybe i could find a junk yard that had one it would be a lot easier. as to how it got damaged was a bone head move on my part, didn't make sure the area was clear when we pulled in the slide. there are actually three flanges i could use. this one, the top one on this slide, the right side flange on the opposing slide or the top one on the opposing slide. all would work, i would just have to cut off the flange. it would be easier to cut off square than cut the 45 degree angle at the top.

Have you checked with an auto body shop?

A quality RV Repair shop can fabricate (make) the part. That is how old vehicles get repaired.
