Big bucks on trailer wheel alignment

On our last trip I noticed the trailer was crabbing a little. On the driver side I could see all the way down the side of the trailer. I couldn't see anything on the passenger side. Ray's Champion Spring in Fort Worth did an excellent job. I can't see either side of the trailer but I can see everything that protrudes ever so slightly on each side. Hopefully, my tires will last longer and not run as hot.

Far too many owners don't monitor their trailer tire wear often enough.
They don't notice the excessive wear until the tire is gone.

Friend with a brand new Cougar, 3,000 miles , I pointed out the wear and his rear axle had to be replaced to correct the problem. He hit the dealer up for tires too.

Was your problem that bad , or was only re-location and tweeking required?

Mine was just an alignment. They use shims to adjust the toe and camber. I don't know what I did to knock it out of alignment but its riding true now.

It cost a little less than $600. That sounds like a lot but after they told me what they did, it would have taken me all day and I would have charged more.

Boy, I guess we've very lucky. All three of our Excels never had an alignment issue. Tires always wore great. Knock on wood. rockin' $600. sounds like a lot of money.
