Closing It's Doors?

Last year in South Dakota I was told by an rv dealer that Peterson was up for sale. Yesterday, in Louisana, I was told by an rv dealer that Excel has closed their doors. The website appears intact. Any myth busters out there?

Well.... I'm in Albuquerque at an RV show this weekend, and off to Ft Worth on Thursday for another show.... Straight from there to Tampa for a week. If we've closed our doors I guess I'd better go on home and cancel my trips. haha

We're having a good Albuquerque show with sales and lots of interest.

Still going strong!!!!

Bryan

Hi Brian, hope you got that HP to working again. Wanted to say thanks for your help in taking our dreams one step closer to reality and hope the Albuquerque show was a huge success for you and Excel. With the product you have, and a dealer like RV Sales, I have no doubts that you'll be around for a long time to come.

Safe Travels,

Walt and Karen Florence

Char and I were at the Abq show on Saturday and had a great visit with Kathy and crew form RV sales and Byan from PI. Spent alot of time with Byran in the new front livingroom unit. Very nice unit. I saw the proto type under construction last spring at PI. The whole crew was excited as always about their products. This is a very stong product and company! Thanks for your time Bryan and Kathy.

PS can the OP tell us who these dealers were so we can talk good things about them? lol, just kidding but couldnt resist.

Perhaps they were talking about Nuwa, which I understand had suspended production. Not sure what their status is now. I can see how someone could easily be confused as both companies are eerily similar. They are both located in Kansas, you know. Or maybe it was part of a sales pitch. Surely not.

Let me guess...they were trying to sell you another brand, right?

I'm more inclined to think, as others have said, they probably got Peterson confused with NuWa, which is also in Kansas. Just goes to show you how much RV sales people really know about the RVs they're selling!

I suspect its partially because so many of us like the idea of the fridge being in the kitchen. But that is why there are different floor plans I guess.

Spaders RV in Sioux Falls told me that NuWa was shutting down production and that PI was up for sale. That was last sprng. NuWa is stopping general production. A week ago Dixie Motors, out of Hammond, La, is the one that said PI was dead. Wisful thinking I guess.
