Remember to take it slow and easy in AK.....my techie friends tell me about 95% of rig failures are speed related in AK!!! Especially with a 5th wheel. rockywashout

rockywashout - now there's a handle for you!
Yes, the damage was to the tread. Sorry about the poor photo quality. This was indeed a relatively new tire which I installed last spring as part of a new set of replacement tires. You will recall that I neglected your sage advice to replace my G614s at 30k miles and subsequently experienced a tread peel-off at 33k miles (You were right on target, Tommy.) with 110 psi, inspected that morning. But I digress.
As to speed in AK,
, you will recall that I have previously posted here (many miles ago) that I rarely made it to within 10 mph of the speed limit in AK. Further (more off-topic), the only damage our trailer ever sustained in AK was the result of hitting a frost heave at an excessive rate of speed, 40 mph in this case. Anyway,
for the reminder, Tom.
And, for those who might be considering the Mor/ryde IS system, it is a fine suspension system and I've had excellent experience at the factory. However, you might want to get a list of the alignment shops which Mor/ryde recommends for this system. Just a suggestion.
