After a long, rough ridefrom Alberta through Northern Ontario to the beautiful Bruce Peninsula, I found one pin in the box of the truck two others with the weld broken and one intact. Email to Jack at Peterson on Monday, received the replacement parts on Thursday. Install easy, as Dethmer recommends, just do one side at a time and torque to 85. The plates are almost twice as thick as the old ones and have a real beefy weld on the pins.

All the people who had the problems found the company very responsive to their concerns.
Here's what the lastest and greatest Demco Glide Ride setup looks like....notice the 1/2" wide plate and beefy welds..... rockin'

You'll probably be OK for a while, but I would contact Scott Johnsen at Demco when you get settled and have him send you the latest and great plates. It quite possible that PI didn't have the latest model in stock to send you. I have always had great results when dealing with Scott. rockin'

Demco

David, the set I received are the same as the Picture, Gold Plated,(Genuine I am sure!!) and yes the welds look a lot stronger than the old ones.
Jack Yenne mentioned that he had received some for inventory, the day before I got mine.
