Dinette Table

Some time ago there was posting about how the Dinette table would tip very easy when the removable lief was in making the top off set to the pedestal. The new 15 trailers have fixed this problem and I was able change my 14 and make it work like the 15. I will attempt to explian how to make the change. The table slides has 3 members on each side under the top. On trailers 14 and earlier the outside member is screwed to the plywood support from the bottom . The 15 , the center member is attached the plywood support. I cut 2 shims that is 1/8 thick X 15/16 wide X 27.5 long and put them under the center members and screwed it to the plywood support from the bottom and now the fixed leafs both slide to the out sde and the top is center over the pedestal with the removable lief in or out.
The shim is necessary as the movable members are cut narrower than the one originally attached the plywood support. It may be possible to use 2 of the gimme yard sticks for shims, just cut them to length. Dan

Here is a picture of the table extension members, now the center one is attached to the plywood support. The green strap is to help get the the removable lief out of the storage space. Dan
