Early Model door retainer/holder

Came across this part while looking for replacement items for our new to us Alpenlite....

....this looks like the retainer that held the compartment doors open on the 2001 Excel that we owned and needed to be replaced because they were either broken or worn.

Don't know how many early model owners are on the forum these days or someone who needs this part...but thought I would provide the link.

Thanks work,

Just FYI those retainers are still being used on smaller doors like the battery compartment door. On my 05 Excel they were used on the bay doors and would get worn and let the big-a** bay door fall down! Also would lose it holding tension if it came in contact with wax/polish. These are nice in the right applications. Also when in very cold conditions you need to be very cautious and easy with them as they will snap and break otherwise. Just my .02 worth. rockin'

I just removed my big spring assist ram thingys because the didnt hold the basement door open high enough. I used these clip and they work great. The door is held fully open upright now. I think the were about $3 at a local RV dealer

Thanks Rockin'. Had no idea the parts are still in use. Assumed when the prior owner of my unit replaced them with something different and/or left the old ones on, they weren't available any longer. Having an Orphan I had been looking for a plastic finger pull used on the compartment doors....and came across what I thought was a 'great find'. Did find the pull though.
