Yeah, right....

rockin' and careful don't belong in the same sentence.

I use blocks all the time. My rear stabilizer electric jacks are far from reaching the ground on a perfectly level pad......never did understand why PI would put jacks on a unit that couldn't reach the ground on level ground.

Weighed my blocks.

9" tall (six 2X12X12) = 23 lbs

6" tall (four 2X12X12) = 15 lbs

Total for set = 76 lbs

Try to make it simpler for my Alphie buddy.....

23 lbs. X 2 = 46 lbs.
15 lbs. X 2 = 30 lbs.
= 76 lbs. total

Hope that clears it up Larry!!!

Thought I'd report back. Today we did laundry and I had a chance to evaluate the shake when the washer was in the spin cycle. I'm impressed with the redneck stabilizers! 'Bout a 90% improvement. Ugly but affective! rockin'

Rockin....I've never met a laundry mat I didn't like, hence no washer/dryer in the Didymop to fret about rockin of an unnatural sort. But I'm happy you're happy.

But shouldn't that be
23lbs X 4 = 92 lbs.
15lbs X 2 = 30 lbs.
= 122 lbs. total????

Aren't there 4 rear legs and 2 front legs?

Joe

Nope....on Lippert level up on an Excel only 4 legs. The frame is so robust....they only need 4 total. rockin'

I’m glad I took Russell’s advice and built some sturdy leveling blocks. I used them, had no issues with auto level on our initial outing and the coach was very stable. When I got back to home base I found out they are needed. The parking lot at my business is out of level side to side and front to back by a few inches each way. I thought I’d try going without the blocks to see how the system performed. It didn’t do well giving me the out of stroke message, unable to level. I re-hitched and went with the blocks and it cured the problem.

I couldn’t go with (as Russell described them) those Texas redneck versions, a high end Excel deserves matching leveling blocks! The cost (and weight) of commercial blocks like Hosspad or The Utility Block are way too high for the multiple 1-1/2” blocks needed. It was a little more work but I went with lighter non PT BC plywood since I have plenty in our shop, it won’t split, check or cup and squared up on the radial arm after lamination looked good too. I glued and screwed to laminate and routed out some slots to use flat nylon webbing for (easy on the hands) handles on some 6” and 3” blocks. With some Rustoleum Boat Bottom Paint they were ready for the elements, I only got one coat on before our first trip but I’ll add a couple more for durability now that I’m home. Russell’s prescription for 6” front and 9” back works very well but I think I might have him on the style points.
