As for meeting up with us just stay tuned to our whereabouts. Winter 2013 remains undecided. But I'll have the wine box chilled for ya. Red or white....or does it matter?
Both!!! Clearly....it doesn't matter!! Went to the cardialogist last week, during a quick interview....he says "you look like the type of guy who would have "a glass of wine with dinner" to which I replied, "oh yes?" Just wine, he asked? No.. Beer? Oh yes, Cocktails? Yes. Which he replied....do you think you have a problem? I thought for a second and said "only when I run out".....which made us both laugh!!!

Are we OT yet? rockin'

Well, the new 17.5 tires and wheels are now under my heavy 'ol mobile house! The wheels are some of the nicest looking I've ever had on anything. I am feeling far more confident with the tires now on the ground. This upgrade by far was money well spent. Glad a few of you steered me in this direction...

Auto, did the 17.5's give you any lift? I'm running a bit nose high and will be replacing my 16" G114's next year. Also, I only have about 2.5" tire spacing now, any issue there with the bigger tires?

The 215/75R-17.5 tires are about 1/2" smaller in diameter than the LT235/85R-16 Goodyear G614 RSTs. They're also narrower by 20mm (a little less than an inch, or 25.4mm), so fitment isn't a problem.

Chief.... Just like Rusty said, the 215/17.5s are near exactly the same diameter or height as the 16s that came off. They however stand better under the weight of the trailer. I mean they don't squash out like the 16s did. Stand firm more like a truck tire which is exactly what they are. Same tires I used to use on my lowboy semi trailer(s) but in a dual application.

If for what ever reason these 215/75/17.5s give me any issues, I'll be going with Michelin's 240/70/17.5. Kinda expensive, but are about the best 17.5 tire I've ever used.

Team TJ, I'll get some pics tomorrow. I still need to update my profile pic as well. Get a shot with the new 3500 Dodge hooked up rather than the old Ford.

Auto hauler,

Great observation on the sidewall squash. That was one of the first things I noticed, the next was how much cooler they run compared to the old G614 bombs. I started out running 120 lbs pressure and gradually dropped to 108 taking temps and ride in to account (we are maxed out on trailer weight). I feel so much safer with these, even though I was a lucky guy to never have a blowout on the old jobbies. As we say down home.....you done good! Expensive but the right thing to do. rockin'
