Thumbs down Excel -------WOW------------

It used to take me two cups of coffee to get through ones days posts and I just got through a whole weeks in less than a half a cup. Has this lost it popularity or has everyone gone to a different site?

Here is all I know and I learned the concept from the Ayn Rand novel, "Atlas Shrugged".

If I stop producing posts, no one can link them nor can they move them.

Hey Guys,

This is not rocket science. With the new software which slows the darn thing down so much, and folks that move stuff all around, if you have a IQ of 14 or so, you can get it. They don't care what people want or need in a forum. That's why folks are not coming in and posting. It's just that simple. Keeping it simple for us folks with a low IQ....like me! rockin'

It's Spring time ....people have a lot more going on and don't have the forum time they do during the winter time. Nothing unusual; have seen the same on other forums, too.

Well, I have another plan. I can choose not to visit irv2.com.

I wish you well. This used to be a fun community.
This is a very true statment, with all the new bells and whistles of the new software they want us to change our computers. I can not even program a vcr yet and they are out dated. I just hate the thought of messing with my laptop, which is doing what I need it for and not change to meet other standards. I am not a computer geek.

We all dislike "change", but I believe Andy made the right move to the new and enhanced forum software. Things will improve as the admin folks work out any issues.

IMHO, the 'over moderation' is having a negative impact, not only on the Excel Forum, but others as well. Just let folks be themselves and not be so concerned about categorizing each post -- this is not a library and each post does not necessarily have to fit in a certain locations. That's what we have a search engine for, to locate information.

Will stated Chief. I have found out that as I get older, along with most folks, change gets harder to accept. I look at the other forum I involved with, while I was gone most of last week, I had way to much to catch up on but it is enjoyable know that we don't have someone watching over us minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. Last I check we are mature folks and just like having fun with each other along with the serious side of the Excel life style.

Said it earlier and will say it again.

Loss of daily updates with the content of the new posts is a big blow to users. I usta read all the posts via email, then add my replies when I was interested. I'm not willing to log onto this web site every day and plow through the topics for new posts since I last read them. And people without readily available net connections are the bit losers here.

Yeah, the advanced editor is nicer. But not nice enough to make up for the loss of the daily updates. We heard some promises that the programmers would look into this. But I've heard nothing further.

Bruce & Jenna...let me check some settings. I believe you should be able to get daily updates...

Go to the top of the "Excel Forum to the "Forum Tools" drop down window. You will find a choice that reads "Subscribe to this Forum". Choose that option which will take you to another drop down window. Click on that drop down and choose either "Daily Updates by Email" or "Instant Notification by Email" . The final step would be to "Add Subscription". That should solve the problem. I hope this helps!
