I did a search but came up empty. Are the white sinks shown in the Excel gallery pics plastic or porcelein? The website doesn't tell.
Thanks

Yes, it's probably fiberglass and not plastic.

Look at the bottom side of the sink (look in the cabinet at the bottom), if its fiberglass you should be able to see the strands of fiberglass in the resin. If its plastic it will be smooth.

They are Touchstone. A liquid stone sprayed into a mold and backed with fiberglass composite. If scratched they can be buffed.... They are tough and have served us very well

Buffing?

How do you buff out a scratch? I was noticing when we took ours out last week that we have a small scratch, and a small glue-like spot on the vanity of our RSO. Can you use a solvent on the Touchstone to see if the glue-like spot will come off?

Thanks!

Cindi

For scratches and the like, I've used 2000 grit paper to wet sand with a block to eliminate finger marks. Then I use a mild abrasive one step wax auto wax. Have also used Counter Magic spray (not real a big fan, just had some on hand). To get a real nice shine I use a wheel with a yellow buffer pad. Make sure you cover everything around the spot you're working on as it the wax slings in all directions!!! I've also rubbed it out by hand. HTHs rockin'

I've used Oxi-Clean to remove stains in our sinks. I fill the bottom of the sink with some warm water and mix in about a 1/4 cup of Oxi-Clean. Mix thoroughly till all powder is dissolved. Also works real well cleaning our plastic bowled Bravura toilet.

We have stainless steel sinks but, on tough stains on almost any surface we find that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Cleaning Pads work great.

Try Barkeepers Friend.

It works great on stainless steel, porcelain and plastic. Non-abrasive.

I'd suggest wearing gloves when using because it is acidic.
