Thanks for your response Steve. My curbside slide (dinette) had that piece of angle iron welded in. The roadside side didn't have it so I screwed into wood. I think my set up will work OK. I looked at aluminum but was concerned if it would bend 90* without breaking. Did you heat your aluminum at the bend? Just curious. rockin'

No problem and thanks for taking the time to capture and share your fix. I had the same concern with using aluminum but gave it a shot because I had the material laying around. The stock turned out to be pretty soft and heat was not needed. It was easy to hammer out a couple 90 degree bends before cutting to length.
