David,
After looking at what's available, my use, and the budget I bought a Werner 13' folding ladder. Granted it's not welded construction like the Little Giant but then I don't give it heavy duty use like a contractor would. And, I liked the $80 price better than something over $250. Mostly use it for washing and waxing the trailer.
Folded it fits nicely into the basement and I'm comfortable with the weight. (Consider where you'll store it.) Unfolded, and with an old towel for protection at the top, it just makes it for me to reach the sides of the trailer. You need to know that I'm 6'2" with 37" sleeve length (long arms). Your own size might affect your needs.
Happy travels.

Be aware of the color of the step ladder, if going fiberglass, it goes orange, yellow , blue and green. The color tells you how much weight can go on that ladder, where as orange is the most and green is the least…so don’t let cost determine what ladder you purchase…. And don’t borrow a green one to a 300 pound person.. Unless you have good insurance….Book2

B2, I never knew about those color codes. Thanks! I have a green one and do not out weigh its rating, though it is an expanding universe. I wonder how those Aluminum ladders at Harbor Freight would be. Much cheaper. I was thinking about replacing my green one. I figure 13-14 feet would be fine as the MoHo is 12'. Which style of ladder is best? The step ladder works well but those folding ladders are more compact and look like they would store easier.

This is going to be my next investment. But I am wondering why a new Excel owner did not get a $1000 buying spree from his dealer like the rest of us? Book2

I started with a 6' step ladder and recently changed to an 8'. I feel much better on the new 8' when applying DriWash N Guard to the trailer than when I was using my old 6' ladder.
My new ladder cost about $75 at Wal*Mart but is a regular step ladder. I carry it between the "Smoke" stacks on Overkill

We carry an 6' 'orange' step-ladder and a 12' telescoping ladder that we've used for 10 yrs. without a problem. The telescoping ladder is light and compact when stowed. Step-ladder hangs on the back of 'Semi-Suite'.
