Thanks bigmichael & rockin for the replies. I was okay until rockin's post with a link to the adapter box. I'll sit tight, impatiently waiting for our new baby to be created, and hope for the best.

R&K,

You should have the adapter installed at the plant, that way you can have a Chevy tow it when the ol' Ford breaks down!!! Just razzin' ya but they really will add the adapter at the plant on your request!!! rockin'

Let the popcorn begin!

Rockin - Hopefully the "Ol Ford" will get us by until we both retire and are able to hit the road. Just turned 29,000 miles this year. Not bad for having it for over 6 years. I'll be getting awfully close to the GCWR of 26,000 lbs. and will be heavier when we're able to leave the winters behind and travel the country. I've started laying the groundwork with the DW for a HDT in our future.

As far as having the adapter installed at the plant; I need to draw the cost line at some point and if its not needed, it'd be crossing the line.

Rockin-looking forward to it.

As to this brake issue-our truck was a F450. I don't know if the brake controller set up was any different than those in the F350, but I don't think so. Bryan probably would know if there were issues with any of the 08 Fords, as they likely heard about them if there were.

Just got a e-mail from E-Trailer who contacted Dexter. My 2006 F 350 with IBC will not need the adapter that Rockin linked in his post. So I guess I will try it with out it. Thanks, George.
