Yep sure is.

I'm curious though, if traveling in an area with temps below 32*, who runs their furnace while driving (furnace set to just above 32* to keep pipes from freezing)?

Me neither.......seldom in that situation. Some folks do....even though the manufacturer advises against it. Some floorplans cover up the registers when slides are in. rockin'

You must mean Excel advises against it.

The same furnace is installed on motorhomes. They are allowed use them when traveling, with slides retracted.

I don't recall needing to run my furnace while traveling. But I would not hesitate to do so if it is very cold. I tend to avoid those places with the trailer in tow.

Suburban furnace owner's manual states on the front page: Be sure furnace is off when vehicle is being towed.

I could find anything about the furnace in my Excels owner's manual. rockin'
