Fuse Panel

When I installed my new vent fan I couldn't get it to run. My first stop was at the 12 volt fuse panel but I didn't see any of the red lights that indicate a blown fuse lit. So I moved on. After several hours of trying everything I could think of I went back to the fuse panel and started pulling the fuses one at a time. What I found was the indicator light only works on a few of the fuses. I found the fuse to the fan was blown, along with one other, which I have no idea how long ago that happened.

Point is I wonder why only some of the indicator lights work. At least now I know not to rely on the little red lights.

Jim. I think there needs to a load on the circuit for the red light to be on when the fuse blows. If you turned on the new fan I think the red light may be on. But with out power it may not come on. A circuit the that has lights in them the bulb fillimet will be aground for the red light to be on when the fuse blows. I have had similar problrm.
