Hi Everyone,

We are very close to ordering the Classic 30 RKE.

Does any one know the inside dimensions of the steel generator box? I am not sure if these would vary from model-to-model.

I would measure it myself but the nearest dealer is about 400 miles away! We are considering using the box for extra, larger, batteries and a solar panel controller, instead of a generator.

Phil

Thanks a lot!

I own a 04 33RSE and the generator box measures
60" wide
36" high
20" deep at the bottom
30" deep at the top
16" deep from the jacks to the back
Hope this helps you.
Paul

Phil,

That would be the same for all Excel models. They are nice as I use mine for storage since it is not vented. You do that when you put the generator in.

Thanks folks. It sounds perfect for what I have in mind, with plenty of room to spare.

Getting a little closer to ordering... We have a pretty good deal in the works but are willing to travel a little further to get that great deal!

Phil

I don't expect to buy a installed generator, but I hear tell that adding a box now at purchase for about $200 adds to value at resale.

Going by the inside dimensions provided by clspds it sounds like a great rough utility space for tools, shovels, fireplace tongs/pokers or anything else that could mess up the other carpeted storage area in the basement.
