'H' bathroom with door swinging into the bathroom?
Does anyone have an 'H' (home shower) bathroom with the door swinging in? Do you think it's too small of room for the door to open in? Do you wish you had the door swing out of the room?
We're Excel Winslow 34IKE wanna-be's. I LOVE the door to the bedroom but to have that we need the bath door to swing in. I love to hear your thoughts.

Welcome to the site. I believe that you will find that most, if not all bath doors in rvs open out due to the space available in the floor plan. There may be exceptions but I have not seen them. Good luck with your wanna-be.

I have a excel wild cargo 41 GKE and the bathroom door does swing into the bathroom. I do not find it to be a problem

We have the 34 IKE and the bath door swings in. It is not a problem but I would prefer a pocket door. Once closed there is plenty of room for us. When it is open it blocks the toilet which is not a problem.

The door swings in on my '13 Excel Winslow 34IKE with walk thru bath option.

We have the Home bathroom option in our L36GKE and we really like it. I am a "large framed" person and I don't fit in the smaller showers very well. The bathroom door swings to the outside. For me, the way the bathroom is laid out; it would be a very tight squeeze to close the door if it swung inward.
The door swinging out also creates an access problem. The door hinge is on the right and the doorknob is on the left. The left side of the door frame is very close to the steps. You have to stand on the first step, open the bathroom door, and then step up and into the bathroom. That’s not a problem coming from the kitchen, but when coming from the bedroom you have to pass the door, stop on the first step, and turn around before opening the door and entering the bathroom. Trying to do a pirouette on a narrow step with size 12 feet, half asleep in the middle of the night, can be a challenge. I have been thinking of changing the door hinge from right to left. We wouldn’t have to stand on the steps to enter the bathroom.

We had the door switched to where it opens outward from the right side. This provides protection from the stairs, especially at night when you're half asleep. It does mean that when coming from the kitchen, you have to go past the door to open it. We're very happy with it set up this way.
