How to remove the screen from the kitchen exhaust fan?
Simple man, simple question.
How does one remove the (greasy) screen covering the exhaust fan over the kitchen?
Slide a screwdriver up each slot and wiggle it around?
Threaten it with a bolt cutter?
Buy a new RV, like SKIA?
I'd rather ask how to remove it than how to fix it. Thanks much as always.

Bruce,
My new one has little plastic snaps that will release the screen for cleaning.....I think on your "old timer" you simply remove the surround piece that holds the screen frame in. You know, those 4 screws that are staring at you when you look up at the fan assy. When you get it down you see where 2 missing screws and blank holes are. That's what you'd have to hold up the screen assy. if you owned a SOB!!! Now quit laughing and get that thing cleaned.....you know Hanukah is just around the corner!!!

I'm happy with the advice. But he called me an assy.
" That's what you'd have to hold up the screen, assy."

Hey, I just noticed SKIA called me an assy twice!
"You know, those 4 screws that are staring at you when you look up at the fan, assy."
" That's what you'd have to hold up the screen, assy."
