Well... I lived in Detroit for 31 years (29 winters) so I'm kind of used to cold. IN fact, compared to some of the winters around 25-30 years ago this winter is kind of warm (How's -40 strike you)

However this winter we are in South Carolina, 3 miles from Georgia and this morning long about 2:30 when I checked into the radio net our 32 degrees here and in Anderson (A few more miles from Georgia) were the hot spots.

That said, we don't often hear from folks west of the Rockies, and this morning was no exception, but Flordia was Colder, and Wisconson.. Well. I suggested the other day we change the name of one town to "Too Cold, Wisconson" but hey Even he was warmer than -40

But it's cold all over

Scroll on the TV screen this AM said Great Britten is digging out from the worst blizzard in years....

(We got Snow yesterday.. I mean. I saw it... However the grass is still green)

Here's one for the books. In Melbourne Beach Florida tonight it is supposed to rain. They believe that the temperature will be low enough that with the rain, we could actually see snow. Snow in Melbourne Beach Florida, what next, me voting Democrat, what is the world coming to.

I think that's more rare than snow in Melbourne Beach!

It's winter in Iowa
And the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 25 below!

Oh, how I love Iowa
When the snow's up to your butt;
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose is frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave Iowa ,
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground.

Go Hawkeyes! My son is a grad student there and just returned last night after a wonderful couple weeks in FL escaping their Iowa winter.
