We have purchased 2 new Exdcels in the past three years. Within the first month of use, both coaches have had water leaks from the glass encloser between the lavatory and encloser where the two aluminum frames meet about three inches out from the wall. In the first coach, the factory finally replaced the compete glass encloser. In our new 6 week old coach, we have had a tech work on it twice and now the dealer is ordering a new encloser to solve the problem. Is this a common problem with other coaches? If so, how are other owners dealing with this leak?

Help me understand where it is leaking please. By "encloser" do you mean door? Is the shower enclosure leaking at the bottom of the door?

yeah, mine leaks also in my 07 TKE. the water runs out just to the right of the shower door around the corner. Maybe a tablespoon of water during normal shower. the weird part is it leaks sometimes, and sometimes not.

I wonder if it depends on how level the coach is.

Evan I think your right as our shower had a leak also and it seemed to be worse when we where nose high I beleive. So far recaulking seems to have stopped it. I used food coloring in a water bottle to help find the leaks source.

Thanks for everyones comments/suggestions. According to the levels, the coach is level. We move every 3-5 days so changing sites often. The shower leaks everytime, everyday. A tech at Tri Am in Ocala, FL has used caulking two different times and we have recently tryed ourselves. It still leaks. To clarify the souce of the leak, it is not anything to do with the door. When standing outside the shower, in the far right hand corner (3 inches out from the coach wall) where the vertical and hortizonal aluminum frames meet at the bottom of the glass shower panel, the water comes out. Everyone has caulked inside at that corner.

Have any other leakers solved this problem or can anyone suggest a tech along the east coast/ New England that has done a great job with repairs?

SC Tech fixed ours that leaked at the bottom of the enclosure. He said that the rubber gasket around the edge of the glass was joined at the botttom, leaving a small crack at the joint.

SC Techs removed the glass enclosure and re-applied the gasket so that it joined at the top of the shower.

A gasket joining at the bottom may be OK for the outdoor compartment doors so that water will drain down around the gasket and go out the bottom at the crack at the joint.

However, it makes better sense to make the joint at the top of the glass shower enclosure.
