Rick that's a beautiful picture. You even have the scenery looking like it was inspiration for the paint job on your Wild Cargo.

I think I'm feeling some RV Bliss sneaking up on me....good job!!

Based on this thread, I ordered a set of these from Amazon. They arrived yesterday and are uber cool. I'll install them this weekend, but I had a lot of fun playing with the remote and all the different colors.

Retracting Awning

drfife when you want to retract the awning I presume you have to disconnect the lights with the connector at the awning tube. Have you found this to be a problem?

I have not had a problem connecting or disconnecting the connector.

I don't even need a ladder to reach it. I can angle that side of the awning and reach the connector from the ground.

What problems have you encountered or expect to face?

I've also installed mine and they work great. I just unplug the little connector on the end of the tube and roll them up. The ONLY issue I've had was this weekend when there was a HUGE downpour. I think water got inside the little connector and the lights started changing colors automatically. It looked like a disco.

OK now i"m even MORE excited about getting mine. I ordered >>>THESE<<< about a week ago and have been checking the tracking info at least once a day. lol The reason I bought this particular one is that it came with TWO LED strips. I am going to install one on the awning roller and one on the coach like vermilye did. Right now I have the rope light setup but am less than impressed with the light it puts out. The only thing I was concerned about was the connection. After reading this thread my skepticism has been squashed. Just hope it arrives before we leave out tomorrow!!!

I'm AMAZED at how bright these lights are. I like mine set on a purple color and it really puts out a neat glow. I had many people stop at the Horse Park a few weekends ago to inquire.

I like that they can be set to a yellow color which does not attract as many bugs.

I like the idea of the rope lights for overhead cabinets. Did you place a switch of some sort on the door so that the light automatically comes on when the cabinet is opened?

I'm no scientist, but I'm not sure that would work. True, some bugs don't see yellow, but these LED lights are RGB (red, green and blue) like a TV. So to get yellow, it mixes red and green. Lighter yellow would take a little blue. All the lights full-on make white.
