All:
I bumped a prior message thread related to a dealer locations map.

MM:
How are you collecting locations for your maps. If we could figure out a way to extract names and Latitude and Longitude information from somewhere in a persons profile or somehow from a message thread I could probably figure out a way to make a Google Earth KML file from it. The KML file I did for the Dealers was basically done by hand from a list of dealer names and addresses.

I don't know what program Don Bradner who runs datastormer.com, uses, but their mapping is great. Check out Linda Hylton's location link:

Making sure that those who need that Social Security check each month get it!!

Last show up to work day is Friday, Feb. 13, 2009. Vacation to April 1, 2009. Retirement begins the next day. Then I will be a full time PIA for all.

Now for your rubbing it in on the temp's. We had 40 for a low last week and 69 for a high last week while you where down in the 40's for a high. You get some of this cold later this week.

Opp's -4 this morning out home. Chilly.

We had -6 at the house this morning. Yeah it was nice being in the 70s last week when FL was below freezing over night. Virg might still be thawing out. I think the temp will be in the 50s this weekend. Just makes you appreciate the the Midwest more.

PLease note the link added to the POST HERE. I am going to ask that everyone put only their current location in their post and then update as they move.I can keep the map current only if that is done!
Thank You for your cooperation.

MM

PS.. will that map work ol in lieu of the old one?

Their program is tied to their "Data-storm dishes" coordinates

Not really. See http://map.datastormusers.com/user1.cfm?user=1197. The + sign is for those that do not have dishes.
But, not the issue. We can't use this datastorm site, but maybe we can find out how Don Bradner of datastormers.com does it. He does have his own little business and thus runs a server, but he is a big RVer and an Escapees member.
Just an example of a nice locator program.
Tom
