Congratulations! Our 31 IKE has been just right for us and the factory tour yesterday demonstrated many of the excellent features that make the rig what it is! I hope you will be pleased!!

"Just right" is what we're thinking on the 31IKE. From specs to floor plan with some mods from PI it's going to be perfect for our travel needs and our TV, a 3500 SRW like yours. We're finalizing a few last details/additions with Bryan and moving our delivery date up a little with some end of summer/fall trips already scheduled. A trip to Smith Center pre-delivery is probably not possible but when we head west in the future we'll make that a must stop.

Congratulations on your new Excel. I live in NC and we are also interested in purchasing an Excel. If you don't mind my asking what dealer and location did you purchase your new RV.

We purchased ours from Fretz RV in Souderton, PA. They are a close by dealer we used for many years to service our previous Arctic Fox FW. They took on Excel a few years ago and always treated us well on the service side so that was a plus for us. Bryan Tillet's personal attention also made a big difference. He comes in every year for Fretz's April sales event so we were able to get answers to our questions, advice from a guy with 34 years experience building RV's, pricing which included our custom options and look at layout, features and cabinetry on the Winslow in stock. PI and Fretz combined to offer us a good deal so we made the move.

Making me a bit jealous and giving me some ideas for my coming new unit. I'm holding out for the 2016 production year. See what cool innovations P.I. comes up with for the 50th anniversary edition Excel.

Tom,

I would probably go ahead and move forward on a 2015 model. What if we have no more cool innovations left?

Oh I know you gotta have something under your hat!

In any event, I'm figuring I have one more 5er trade in to be my final long term upgrade. One more year fits my plan to make it affordable.

Auto hauler we took our time too and PI did make some nice improvements in the past couple years but the wait had a price. The base price of the units we looked at in 2012 has increased considerably since then. One year probably won't see too big an increase but factor it into your time frame.

We had an earlier request to post our options. Since then we have some additions/changes, a few prompted by suggestions from experienced forum participants. So here's the list so you can drive the price of that dream rig higher.
No Garbage Disposal - Won't fit w/DW Food waste in grey tank iffy too
Progressive Surge Protection
110v Outlet & Coax in Basement
2nd See Level Display in Utility Center
Generator Prep - Better and cheaper than retro-fit for future geny
Delete 40# LP - Included in Gen Prep
Lightblocker on Living Room Skylight/Vent
Small Shelf Under Medicine Cabinet - Help Offset Small Countertop
Island Drawers - Instead of Door w/ Shelves
Mattress Delete - Using Memory Foam Short Queen w/ radius corner to add space
Move Couch OHC Forward - Butting to pantry not close to valance w/gap to pantry
Back Up Camera - Looking at some wireless solutions w/ Bryan TBD

Thinking of how my 18 wheeler car hauler is wired for all the accessory powered stuff on the trailer through a second power cord/plug coming into the truck.

It wouldn't be that difficult to do the same on a travel trailer. Back up sensors like so many cars have now days. Camera too. All hard wired through a second pigtail to the monitors in the tow rig.

Rockin' I think it was more like out-do my bank account so like Doc I'll just have to keep working for a while before I join you in retirement. We will have some fun too with our well equipped Excel.
