Yep. That it a pretty awesome new floor plan with the 1/2 bath and the door-in-slide. Was fun to oooh and aahh with you at RV Sales today. I think if either of us were really in the market for a new 5er there would have been a couple arm wrestling contests to see who would get it.
But I must say to anyone thinking of getting a new Excel, this is an amazing floor plan with lots and lots of cabinets, drawers, and such. Lot of good thinking went into this baby. the change to a simple delicate wall sconce, ceiling light, and simple cabinet hardware just adds to the luxury and comfort. And the double sink bathroom behind the bedroom and over the hitch is to die for (but I'm not ready to do that yet). Did I mention the dresser and really awesome closets in the bedroom? Wow. Good job designers and builders. I don't remember if this model has the new wall board design, but I saw it in a 2013 RKM and we all agreed we love the look.
But I'd like to suggest a 1/2" or 1" trim be added on all kitchen islands (at least behind the faucet area) to prevent splash and drip over the edges. You know I just always have a suggestion or two. But I've heard this complaint from almost all sink-island owners; even those SOB folks.
So do yourself a favor if you're traveling on I-40 or I-25 in NM, be sure and stop by RV Sales in Moriarty NM and check out the new homes on wheels that they have. And if you're as blessed as we were, Buffy will make another delish rum bundt cake And bring it in. Life is uncertain...eat desert first.
Sarge.
