Are you ready to make a statement with your new TV? Check out the Dodge Interstate Pickup that can be special ordered from your Dodge dealership.

Quote:
Created by Performance West Group, the Dodge Ram 3500 Interstate Rated is based on the Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab 1-ton Dually 4x4, with the Cummins 610 Turbo Diesel. That engine produces 325 horsepower and a whopping 610 ft/lb of torque at just 1600 rpm. At just a whisper above idle, the Ram 3500 Interstate Rated can clean-break over 11 tons of rolling weight. It is now available from Dodge dealers nationwide and is being produced by a licensed bailment pool converter.

Awesome! The stacks would probably leave soot on the front cap and sides of a fiver though.

I agree that it is a very attractive pickup but it may not be the best thing with which to pull a heavy fiver.

That appears to be just a reworked model of the prototype Big Red Dodge of a few years ago, but not as good looking. The rear seat passengers don't have much of a view do they? The description sounds like it will be a great truck for hott-shotters though. I wonder is this is a response to the 2008 Ford F450 pickup?

Not until Dodge finally decides to put its "big boy" pants on and do something with its GVWRs and (especially) GCWRs!

I haven't seen anyone mention how much it costs to park one in your driveway, but with all the special customizing, I wouldn't be surprised if the Interstate's price tag was at or near International's CXT/RXT/MXT line of trucks.

How come it does not have an automatic? Guess Dodge is still scared of their new 6 speed auto from China? Just had to interject that thought!

Let's not let this slip into a brand war - we don't do those on iRV2.

In the interest of accuracy, Dodge offers 2 6-speed automatics in the 2007 Rams.

1. The 6-speed Aisin is available in the cab-and-chassis models since it offers PTO capabilities. This transmission is manufactured in Aisin's Ogawa, Aichi, Japan facility.

2. The 68RFE Daimler-Chrysler automatic is available in the Cummins-powered 2500 and 3500 pickups. It is manufactured in DC's Indiana transmission facility.

Both are fully-integrated with the exhaust brake function built into the Holset VGT turbocharger.

Now, if I could get it in a different color, like jet black, or blue.......

That is a nice set of wheels. I wonder if the GPS is on the dash.

I drive a Super 10 every day. I can handle this.
