New Monroe Gas Matic RV Shocks

I finally had the time and good weather to remove the OEM China shocks and replace with Monroe Gas Matic RV shocks. I won't know until spring if they preform as well as Rockin says. lol. But I can tell you that pushing and pulling on each demonstrates significant difference in preformance. The China shock were so easy to compress and almost fell freely on extention. PI should concider upgrading their OEM shocks. A high end unit like Excel deserves better. Has anyone else made this switch?

Chief.......thanks for the feedback....I think you'll like the results. Remember that I don't think you'd want anymore "stiffer" shock on your RV. You want a decent ride so you don't shake the heck out of the unit, yet you don't want the back of the trailer "flappin' in the breeze" going over bumps. It's a compromise. I think the fact that the Monroe's are "double action" makes for a nice ride and good shock ride control. YOU VILL BE HAPPY....YA? rockin'

What is the part number and a good place to get them and do you still need to us the larger nuts as spacers??
At 40K miles it maybe time for new shocks

I found mine on Amazon less then 30 bucks each. From the factory they had a smaller nut spacer,,I simply mounted them as the came.
