See sig for my rig, hope there is useful info on this forum.

To start off with: There was a problem with my new Excel, the bolts that attach the slide wall to the flange attached to the ram are mispositioned. This caused one of them to pull through the wall on the third retract of the slide. We knew something was wrong on the second one but didn't know what. Watching the moverment on the third retract we could see the bolt movement. Problem was the bolt was positioned within about 1/16 inch of the bottom of the crossmember on the slide wall. Fix was easy as this was the curbside slide and the front ram. This bolt was under the "fender skirt" so it could be repositioned without visible damage.

Looking at the opposite end bolt on that slide it looks like there is a problem with it also, although it has not failed as yet. I don't see how this end can be fixed without fiberglass repair. Street side slide may also have a problem although the bolt is further from the edge.

Factory was contacted by me and are looking into the situation. I looked at an RKO on the dealer lot (R/V Sales) and it looks like this is not an isolated instance. R/V Sales, by the way, was quick to get it fixed and did a good job of it.

Those of you with the 2007 30 RKE, RKO and possibly RSO might want to have a good look at these attachment points.

Hotair,

I assume this is related to the new hydraulic system? If so, there will be bugs to work out. One thing you can take to the bank, the folks at P.I. will figure it out and take care of you.

I don't think you can even get hydraulics on an RT, although you can certainly customize them, we did. This is on the old electro/mechanical slide. Reason I called PI was to give them a heads up.

I think this problem is either rare or is limited to the 2007 models. Mine was one of the first RT 30 RKE to be built, I think.

Thanks for the headsup, hotair!

The 30RKE is the model we have ordered, although we're getting the Classic instead of the RT, so it will have the hydraulic slides, not the electric ones. This may not be a problem with the hydraulic slides, but we'll be sure to keep an eye out for it.

We looked at the RT and may have bought one except for the fact that there were some things that "couldn't" be done on the RT -- like the King Suite. The factory WAS willing to add some items on the RT, though, that are listed as not being available on that model -- like the Mor/Ryde axles with the disc brakes. But there was something different in how they make the RT that wouldn't allow them to put the King Suite in (I don't know what, exactly).
