Noisy bathroom vent

The vent fan in our bathroom sounds like it is extremely off-balance. Is there any way to quiet it down, or maybe try to balance it a bit?

Is it the fan motor itself or are the fan blades hitting the screen? I had that problem and pulling down on the screen slightly eliminated the noise.

It's not the normal RV vent fan. There is a grill covering it, that just pulls down. I can get a pic tomorrow...

Those vents are very noisy and loud when new. Unless it has some grinding or squealing, it's normal. My bride likes it as she can run the fan so company can't hear her tinkle when she's in the bathroom!!!! rockin'

I'm going to rat you out.

EMD, you might pull the cover down and check to see if the support brackets might have a broken one. I had that on mine. I fixed it with some tape wrapped around it and that quited it down to normal.

I pulled the cover down and looked at it. Nothing is broken, or loose. It just really wobbles, when I turn it on.

Sounds like the bushings are shot on the motor. Replace motor is a piece of cake. But even with a fresh motor it's still noisy! Just sayin' rockin'

I can replace the motor.. Just have to know what to get and where to get it... I know it'll be a bit noisy, but this one rattles the whole ceiling...

Sounds like an idea!

I should actually install a USB charging port and a cell phone charging cord in the bathroom.... Someone LOVES her games!

Gary, please be cautious about comments from the folks that have other brands of fifth wheels as they may have a different style/brand of fan. Another words the Excel has a unique type of vent fan and not the typical. Just sayin' rockin'

That's exactly the reason, I put this little blurb in:
