The new door in slideout looks really cool. Neat new floorplan.

And We Were All There in Different Places Together
Wow. What an awesome new concept. I really like having the dining table totally away from the recliners. And I won't even talk about the HUGE bathroom. Yes...I have bathroom envy.
Kudos to the entire crew at Peterson Industries!!! You rock.

I really like the new plan with its open feeling. I had a bath and a half in my last unit and was glad to get rid of one. I know that walking through the bedroom to get to the washroom wouldn't be that convenient but may be a spot to put the washer/dryer IMO. This would create the problem of bathroom access while traveling and require slide to be popped out though. Also, like the placement of the TV directly across from the recliners makes perfect sense not having to look at the TV sideways with the stress on your neck. The bedroom TV placement is off to the side and not viewing friendly......I would somehow make it work at the end of the bed IMO. The new innovation of slide entry door is great if you have the space at the site you are at because many that we have stayed at would put the steps in the bush or neighbors site.

I noticed the door in the slide of the 38RDE, and didn't think that I had never seen one in a slide before
I can see how it would be handy in the 37SDF. However, for the 38RDE I think it would be better to have the 2nd entry between the slide and the rear - then you can enter the 5er to get to the fridge when the slide is in - unsure if you can do that with the door in the slide. Perhaps I will have that question answered when we visit the factory in June - comin up soon.

Couldn't watch the love stream, but just looked at the new layout on the web page. Great looking 5t wheel! Really innovated! Someday, when I get tired of toys, would love a model like that.

Just got back from Moriarty. All I can say is WoW!!! If that had been available in January it would be parkied in my yard. Adds a whole new meaning to EL. I'm impressed. I understand from Brian that it weighs in dry around 14,800. That new roof looks great as well.

We had a bath and a half motorhome several years ago. The main bath was in the rear and quite roomy. The wife loved it, but if she had her way her bathroom and closet would be the two largest rooms in the house. When I showed her the new floor plan and she saw pics of the bathrooms she said get it.
I really do think the plan is a winner and compares favorably with some high end motorhomes which tend to be more generous with the bathroom amenities. Our last motorhome had 2 vanities and we do miss that. It just wasn't an option in any of fifth wheels we considered.

I've tried twice in the past 3 hours to post a review, and both times it got lost in the ethernet. If this goes through I'll try again.
Really neat unit!

We are bathroom minimalists. We'd rather have floorspace for living areas than bathrooms.
That said, I'm sure the large bathrooms appeal to many.
That's why they make multiple floorplans....

I have to admit that I attended today's unveiling with some reservations. I kept asking myself, "What could Bryan do that was so revolutionary to the industry?". Now I know and I must say that I'm really surprised at my reaction to the unit as a whole. IMHO, Excel has risen above the rest in terms of making this the best unit on the road. I've told many people that I'd never buy another rig from Excel unless I could get the old style bedroom. Well, this newly designed bedroom and bathroom has set a new standard and I, for one, really like it, with a few modifications, of course.
The stairs in the slide are really different, to say the least. They even help to make the rig more stable. They are really easy to operate too. Talk about changing the visual perception when you enter the rig. Surprise, surprise, surprise!
The Rhino roof is also a great change. It's amazing how cool the inside of the roof is in the heat of the day with the Rhino roof. I did not compare it to a non-Rhino roof but I was surprised by the coolness. I also liked the way it was brought down over the edge to completely seal the roof.
Having the second bedroom slide sure does open the floor space. I actually think the closet has more room than our current one. There is definitely a lot of drawer space. Yes, the drawers are sometimes shallow but there are a lot of them.
Do I have some questions and concerns? Yes! I'm sure though that Bryan will have an answer or correction for these questions.
Overall, we give this new unit very high marks. It'll be fun watching what the RV industry does with this. Great job Bryan and crew at PI.
