This past weekend I took the coach out to a Corps of Engineers park on Lake Benbrook, TX. While there, I noticed that the street side propane tank was empty and I was pretty sure I had not used it. Anyway, Tuesday I got around to filling the tank. When I installed and turned it on, I could immediately smell gas. Making a longer story short, I found that the P/N C6121#2049 regulator was leaking all around the interface of the two halves. This regulator did not originally come on our coach as the need/requirement was not realized until after it was built. I contacted Ed Lee Sr. at Marshall Gas Controls. I think Ed, is the guy who designed the current twin regulator gas system for trailers with tanks on each side. Ed, tells me that he has had 4 phone calls in as many months detailing the same problem. I promised I would send him the defective regulator so he can try to see what's going on with them. At any rate, 4 out of God only knows how many regulators does not necessarily indicate a trend, but it might be prudent to spray a little soapy water on your regulator just to be on the safe side. By the way, the regulators are very hard to find, but you can buy one from Donna at PI and she will ship it to you. Just as a note, should you find a bad one, they are easy to change.
PS....If you spray soapy water in the compartment, be sure to rense it out well because some detergents can be very crrosive

Bob,
Thanks for the heads up. I use the roadside tank first and then to curbside for some reason. I purchased the original regulator from Donna also. I will keep a close watch on the regulator, as mine is about 7-8 months old. I have chatted with Ed Lee and he is the design engineer of many items from Marshall Controls, and is a nice, informative, helpful and sharp guy.
Bob, again thanks, that's what this website is all about!
