Why are you looking to replace the Demco?

Replace Demco pin box

My previous unit had a MorRide pin box and I fell that it provides a better ride. I can slide the Demco each way by hand. Demco sent me new shackles did not help, now they are sending me new side pins.

va, what exactly do you mean by "slide each way by hand"? With no load you on the pinbox, you should be able to move the bottom plate front to rear by hand. But movement by trying to rotating that same plate should be minimum. rockin'

Replace Demco pin box

It moves forward and back with little effort. When starting out it slides forward up against the rubber stop. When stopping reverse action. In this position it is up against a hard surface. The rep told me being a new unit it should not move by hand. He stated that it would do this in time. MorRide has shock mounts. I requested a MorRide pin box when talking to Brian at the rv show but they would not. It is a matter of preference.

All 3 of my Demcos move front to rear by hand. With brand new bushings they move with some effort. Normal. Just FYI. If your pinweight is low (empty rig or rear heavy) the Demco doesn't do a good job like you describe. Properly loaded it works pretty good. Especially considering the price points. rockin'

Replace Demco pin box

Rocking, We purchased the rig new in Penn. The roads up "North" are not best in Feb.The unit we delivered had the MorRide pin box and we noticed a difference on the way back. Delivered unit much lighter, no gen set or washer and dryer. We went to Fl and we are going again when the new parts arrive so I will see if it works better. If I keep the Demco at least I will have spare parts.
