Good morning.

upon hearing HB Phil's problems, I contacted ShurFlo this morning and they gave me some new information that I thought I would share.

Originally, in order to stop the surging, ShurFlo informed us that we needed to turn the pressure set screw wide open, then back it off 1/4 turn. So I posted that onto the forum as well as sent out a service bulletin to our dealers.

When we implemented that in the plant, we began having water leaks EVERYWHERE!!! We were even having the water heater pop-off valves failing.

So, we backed the pumps back down.

This morning, the tech at ShurFlo told me that the proper way to stop the surging and perhaps the jackhammer noise is to turn on ONE faucet, then gradually increase the pressure set screw (with faucet running) until the surging or noise goes away.

I am sorry for the problems this is causing in the field. We are trying to offer what we (up till now) believe to be the best pump on the market but frankly, I'm getting tired of all of the pump problems.

If this does not begin to solve our water pump problems, I believe we are going to begin searching for another option.

Hope this helps.
Bryan

Thanks Bryan for all you work. This is what makes this forum so important. The fact that you will get involved and find out these items and report back your findings, either positive or negative.

I just had Donna send my hi pressure regulator for the road side propane tank and will be installing that in the near future.

Thanks

When you have even the President of the company going to bat for you, you know you are in good hands.

Jack and Ed, the Techs at SC and the folks at my dealer, RV Sales NM, give me the same confidence.

This is in stark contrast to a lot of auto company's service and dealerships where I sometimes feel like a sheep going to slaughter to just get an alignment or a brake job!
