I had the exact same thing happen. Tried flushing the fluid and solenoid. Nothing worked, finally took it to La Mesa RV. I will have to dig out the invoice for the verbiage, But they replace the solenoid for that slide. They said it leaked over a period of time, causing the slide ram to leak as well. They replaced that ram and I have not had a problem since.

Thanks For the Replies, I was thinking solenoid blow by it's the only thing that makes sense. Got a couple projects to get out the way before I can get it in the shop too cold to work outside highs in the twenties today.
Thanks
Rick

Rick,
Sounds like a hydraulic solenoid leak by issue, however you haven't confirmed it is a hydraulic system. Unless it was special ordered as an option, most Classic model in 07 were electric. Please clarify. 2007 was the first year Excel used hydraulic systems and the solenoids were problematic (among slide ram issues). I've been lucky and haven't had to ever replace any solenoids....always fixed by doing a bypass flush. (we've have cover this in past threads). If your system is hydraulic and hasn't had a fluid changed lately, it should be done also.

I
Thanks Tom
I'm trying to remember but I'm pretty sure there is a door you lift up on the floor of the battery compartment and the valve bank is under that. Electric landing gears for sure but I'm thinking the slides are in fact hydraulic.
Yesterday was 10 degrees when I got off work today it's supposed to be 50
Only in South Dakota! I doubt it has ever been flushed so I will try that. Might be a while before that happens but as always I will post the outcome.
Rick

Hey Rock
I know this is old (time flies) but I've been reading a lot of your posts about the the slide out drifts. I finally after a year started looking at it and found the living room slides solenoids bypass screws were open, the bedroom slide was closed. These were the allen head screws in the side of the solenoids. they are in fact supposed to in the closed position correct(screwed clockwise)

For about a year our living room slides have randomly drifted out a few inches from time to time. Sometimes it will not do it for months sometimes a few times a week. Some have suggested changing fluid every three years which I plan on doing very soon. I also read that you should bleed the solenoid valves as well by opening the Allen head screws. I started to do this the other day and found the bedroom slide bleed screws were turned out (opened already)
Could this of been the problem all along??? I closed them and I'm hoping this will cure the problem.
Any Thoughts?
Rick
