Smith center service center

Ralph Barnett has posted on excel Facebook group. Asking if service center was open would we use it. Response has been overwhelming yes as of this am.

The bank should be motivated to sell. They probably will get few, if any other, offers for that building. Plus, it would help the SC economy. The closing of Peterson Industries was a blow to SC and the suppliers to PI.

We always make it a " vacation" though expensive. Just less for the kids. Enjoy the Kansas lakes, harass Ralph and Ted. We have used local since sc closing because of no choice. We will be back.

I'd love having the option of driving to smith center for any repairs outside of routine stuff that any dealer can reasonably do. I don't follow the Facebook posts, so please keep us posted on this owners forum of any progress. Keeping fingers crossed!

It would be great to have a service center with the expert knowledge of the Excel rigs. I would certainly use it as needed.

This would be great. Hope you can make it happen. As a new Excel owner your help is greatly missed. I also don't do Facebook so the help here has been fantastic

Ralph...will you have access to some of the Excel exclusive parts? Thats the issues most of us will face when we have certain issues. Otherwise some of the former good Excel dealers seem to be able to service my needs...RV sales in NM and Doug's in Ok are doing great work. To be honest the SC location has never been convenient or fun for me but would be another option and it looks like there is plenty of support. Good luck!

As an Excel owner my wife and I enjoyed going to SC for service away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the world and would continue to go if available. I think for people with other brands it might be hard to get them to travel to SC for service because SC is so far out of the way for most people to travel and they don't realize what great service there is there. Maybe by word of mouth or forums like this one they eventually might learn of the great service and use it. Best of luck and I hope everything works out for you.

Do you have dates for the auction?

Ralph - Living in Houston I would be hard pressed to drive 800 plus miles for routine service, however, I would definitely travel that far to have an Excel specific repair made. I wish you success.
