Yes you can convert to LED but they are very expensive. I did find some ballest replacement but think I saw that company is no longer in business. It was called Sunray TS in calif. I have not found a replacement that fits in the same hole as these are ressed.

Might contact "Bruce and Jenna" as I sold him two of those updated Sunray ballast a while back.......I think he only used one.......but not sure. They have stopped FT RVing and may still have it to sell.

It's my understanding that PI sells the replacement light assembly, but they don't fit on the corners (the replacement has round corners and the Sunray's are square. Someone told me they used the replacement without it being "too" unsightly. Guess that would be someone's opinion. Maybe a nicely cut piece piece of white duck tape (Walmart $5.00 a roll) would suffice. Just my thoughts. rockin'

If given a choice of replacing the fixture because of the ballast or converting to LED, I would go the LED upgrade because of the fixture involved. Here is a SITE that shows the relacement bulbs and disconnecting the ballast. Might google the bulb and see if its available from another source and price or just a different style bulb with a different wire connection.
