Thanks to Smith Center Service Center crew
We just spent a week at Smith Center and would like to thank them for their hospitality, friendliness, and professionalism.
We originally scheduled our visit for some minor maintenance (new brakes, slide alignments, and new slide seals, etc). However, on Saturday before we arrived, our pin box failed and we now had a major problem. With a temporary fix on Sunday we were able to limp in to Smith Center. The crew took one look at our problem, knew exactly what to do, and jumped right in! Ralph did a great job of talking with our insurance company, and everything was finished to our satisfaction. With everyone giving us attention, we were able to have all our requests completed by the end of the week.
Thanks to Darren, Jim, Ralph, Vicky, Ken, Jack, and the rest of the crew!

Could you describe your "pinbox failure"? I have an 05 30skw and hearing things like that really makes me set up and pay attention!!!

Sure..but I'd like to start with the easy way out. Can you read my blog and then let me know if there are any questions? Lee will have to answer anything more technical. Rockin can also help you as he said he had seen this problem before.
One thing is for sure...we've leaned to look up into that box once in a while and to never take anything for granted!

I checked out the pics on your blog. Very
Interesting...... Any ideas as to why the pin box failed? Too much side to side twist, rough roads or maybe metal fatigue?

Not really sure...we did hit a really bad bump going about 20mph, but there must have been some underlying problems as well. We have since heard that there were some design flaws that have been corrected. Don't know if that was part of our problem.
Sorry it took me so long to respond, we've been out of commission.
