The top picture looks like alignment and balance issues. The feathered edges of the tread make me believe they were being dragged sideways. Have you checked the run out in the bearings or how round the rims are?

The bottom picture looks like a couple of our Michelin's did when I replaced them with the Hankook's a few months ago. The consensus was I was experiencing the beginning of belt separation. Doesn't really matter now since they are gone. We just did a 3K trip with the new tires and no problems.

Tommy, don't let anyone fool ya with a lot of jabber. That's belt separation. Man do they look nasty. I bet that tire was doing the heeby-jeeby at highway speeds. The Hanooks or Sailun are the way to go in my opinion. It's not shocks, but I wouldn't hesitate putting some of the Monroe gas filled shocks on. They are double action shocks, not single like the Dexter China jobs. Rides much better. Just sayin.

Unfinished 91
Just read your post about replacing your RV tires with the Hankook TH22 and was wondering how they have held up.

Very well. We put 5 or 6k miles on them last year so a little early to say too much, but I see no signs of any problems. Because of some ongoing issues with the wife's mother we have not had the Winslow out of its garage so far this year. May be July before we get our first trip.
Not sure if Russell will see this but he has had his set longer than I have and probably a lot more miles.

No problems or complaints with my Hankook TH22 tires. Almost 2 years and 15K+ miles.

They are doing very good. I have about 11000 miles on them and they are showing no signs of wear.

"Excel2014" ol' Randy just put on a set of 4 S637 17.5" H rated Sailuns today for $690. out the door. I thought that was a fantastic buy. I made him show me the receipt to prove it. Date code was a bit much but only by about 6 month.....not a bad deal at all!
