Roger,
Is this the kind of roller ball catch you are speaking of and how did you mount them?

The one's I Installed were the brass ball catch's as shown
on the accompanying page.

I installed them on the 1 in. piece of wood at the back of the drawer cabinet where the normal spring catches reside. For some reason, Excel ran this piece from the top down and then cut it off about a foot from the floor.

Why they didn't continue this to the bottom, and then anchor to the rest of the cabinet frame is a mystery to me. This is one reason the drawers don't want to stay in, at least on mine, because this piece doesn't attach to anything, so it moves back and forth. I ended up adding industrial velcro to the drawer face backs for a little more sticking power. I don't ever want them to open on their own again and cause this amount of damage! Must have been a bad day in the cabinet shop!

Roger,
Thanks for the info. I have the Classic so I don't have the spring latches in the back except for the keybd. drawer and it came open. When I get my unit back, I'll see how I can mount these. Luckily, we have several woodworking supply stores in town.
