My Thetford Auqa Plus toilet water valve started leaking and I found water on the floor that ran around from the rear to the front along the base of the toilet. Donna said she noticed it, but just figured I had "mis-shot" in the middle of the night!!! Not so!! As you can see the valve was leaking and I ordered a new one from Thetford. Today I took out the toilet and put the fresh one in. While it was out I gave it a good cleaning, including the throat. While I know the valve is not design to come apart......I took the old one apart to see how it failed....and was not able to see the cause of failure....even under magnifaction. Oh well, the new one doesn't leak.
Seeing the way that water valve is designed, I'm not real impressed. I may want to get an extra to have as a spare. rockin'

Nice leak Rockin', I always heard it was wet in that part of the country. Assume it leaked when the foot pedal was pressed? Would guess a toilet less than a year old won't need spares.

Yep....pedal down and valve in open position flowing water......both internally and externally!
Work, when you purchase a rig in a very depressed market, I guess you have to expect less than great quality, both in the coach and the supplier components. I imagine it's quite hard to make a production line flow right when you have skeleton crew of folks, some not experience in their area of expertise. Just my opinion and experience! rockin'

Some months ago, on one of the major cable networks, think Fox, they were talking about how some sections of the RV industry was starting to pick up. They had a film crew filming workers from a SOB putting one of them together and what their production limit was. Looked like a bunch of ants moving around in the interior everyone installing something....never showed the finish product....but.
Don't know why but the items that are grey in color always seemed stronger to me than those that are white....don't know why.
Off to shop with DW, Mom and Sister.....Help me please!
