Our coach is equiped with a generator box and we do not use a generator. Have any of you guys come up with any way of organizing this area for storage? Currently we use totes but it seems that whatever I'm looking for is in the bottom of the bottom tote. I'm looking for a meams of storage that is organized and set up for easy retrieval. If you have photos of a system, that would be great. Thanks
Paul

Paul,
We're contemplating building a couple of 3/4" plywood shelves the width of the generator/storage area. Two shelves would provide for three levels of storage. Probably add some type of easy-to-remove rail on the shelves to keep items from sliding off. Nothing on paper, just spinning around the old head.

John,
This is kind of what I have been thinking of doing. The questions are how to secure the shelving to the walls, and what to use as rails to keep things on the shelves while moving.

Paul,
I was thinking of bolting the (3) rear shelf supports through the back wall and commercially available cargo nets to restrain the shelf items. I've seen these nets in auto supply stores and found a heavy duty net at my Mack Truck parts department--it's made to fit the cargo area over the cab of a Vision model truck.

Paul,
Did you aver come up with an idea for this? I was thinking just pt plywood on 3 sides against the metal walls and then uses 2X4 to wedge them in place and use as shelf mounts, I might sit down and draw that out.. I use that area for the grill and chairs so I really don't need it. But I can see how it would be handy.

Daryl,
I haven't come up with an idea yet. But as you know I've been pretty busy.
