water presure
Does anybody know why the water presure would be good for one minute then a trickle the next, almost none in the shower? I've checked the hose and even the water regulator and water softner. What is the brass piece that the end of the reel hose is hooked to in the bay? Is it a regulator too that could be bad?

Had a friend last month meet us at a park in San Antonio with water pressure over 100 psi and no water at his unit. Turned out to be his in-line regulator.

......... I would remove the pressure regulator(brass thing) and check that it is not reversed as well as where it attaches to the main water connector(which has a small pressure relief valve inside) and you can see if it is restricted.
Good luck & travel safe.

Hi Ron and Belinda,
Need a lot more info to be able to help you. First do you have a pressure gauge on the hose/regulator before it come into the rig? Need to verify you have proper pressure coming into the rig. If that's OK then the whole house water filter (if so equipped) may be plugging, however that's doubtful if the issue comes and goes. Have you tried to run the pump without shore water? What are the results of that? There shouldn't be another water pressure regulator inside your rig. Can you confirm good flow thru your water softener? Hopefully this gives you some thought starters. rockin'

There is a check valve at the water inlet on the water panel that prevents water from flowing back out from the coach once the supply hose is removed. It's made of plastic and prone to failure. It's possible it has failed and blocking the inlet. To check if it has failed just remove the water hose from the inlet and if water pours from the inlet it's failed.

I've had this issue in our current fiver, but never in the Excel we use to own. I've added a 4 ft water hose in our utility center to assist in connect/disconnecting and found we had a kink in that hose hidden from sight. (Probably not your issue, though.) I've also found that putting the wrong filter size (not physical filter size but filtering size) in the filter and had issues like you described. It'd build up pressure over time but once you opened a faucet, you lose the water pressure. If it's not the water regulator, you might want to try a water filter with a slightly larger filtering size. David

Thanks everyone for all the advice, sorry it took so long to reply. We did finally figured out the problem. It was the water regulator at the water faucet. Put a new one on and had the same problem then found a old one that looked different than the new one so tried it and it is working so far. By the way Tom we did buy a house (dupex) last Sept when we were waiting for the trailer to get fixed.
Thanks again all
