Wiring question on 2013 Excel fith wheel

We recently had to replace all of our leaf springs on our unit, Were stranded for several hours until we got help. We were able to get the two leaf springs that failed fixed and were advised to replac all of them. (Did not know that was maintenance item until Insurance wouldn't cover any of the expenses Anyway we had them all replaced but my husband noticed we now have a cable hanging down on one of our slides and can't find anyplace to wire it back up. Does anyone know what cable would be for and how it is attached underneath?? Evidently trying to find a wiring diagram is almost impossible to obtain.

Post pictures. Which slide? I too have a 2013 Excel. It's a Winslow 34IKE. I replaced all my springs years ago.

Yep, springs and suspension on the trailer is maintenance. As for wires hanging under the slide, most likely it is power wiring (either 12 VDC or 120 VAC) or it could be a TV cable. It all depends on what all is in that slide.

What is not working in the slide? Usually there are junction boxes under there that the electric wiring goes into to power things in the slide. Also, if it is a wiring harness hanging that is common. When the slide goes in it keeps the wiring from dragging or getting caught on something and ripping it out.

, Since you had the springs replaced, I'd be suspicious of the wiring for the trailer brakes. But, as the guys have said, it could be anything, and pics would help.

Below are four links to Excel 12volt wiring diagrams that may be helpful. This info is on our “Excel RV Owners” page on Facebook.
