We have never been to a Newmar rally and being we will be in the area we are considering doing this one. But I have a few questions.

1) What goes on at these rallies? I don't mind a few tech talks, but I don't want to sit in class all day. My wife does not care for them.

2) Will we have time to do other things like visiting friends and seeing the countryside? We have friends that live at the Finger Lakes area.

Hi reubenray,
The choice is your to make. There are plenty of activities, local tours and local area things to do. There will be vendors and display coaches. Or you can chill out with friends and family. Plenty of food and fun. Contact the Klub office to see where they are on putting together the activities part of the agenda.

The finger lakes area can be a 1-2 hour drive from Syracuse. You can plan some long day trips, or explore the area before or after the rally. The rally starts on Monday. When we went to the rally in Sedalia two years ago, we planned out trip before the rally schedule was published, and arrived that Monday morning. There were first-timers events that took place over the weekend before the rally that we missed. In addition, some of the driving classes were scheduled in the days before and after the rally.

You don’t have to go to the seminars all day or every day.

If you can find the seminar and activity schedule for prior rallies it would give you a better idea of what might be available.

I remember one session where they spent about 45 minutes determining that slides should be put out before leveling except when the coach should be leveled first, or that it made no difference.

Some of the sessions were very good and others were not worth attending.

I talked to someone from NKK about the rally and got some info. She said more info about this rally will be coming out later this month. The online signup date is April 15th. There will be 600 sites available.
