How do you tell what kind if HW Heater you have.

The two most common are Atwood and Suburban . There should be decals with the info on the heater behind the outside cover.

If you can't find a decal , post a picture of the heater with the outside cover removed we'll ID it for you.

1998 damon challenger

Ok, Did find the brand, and the red switch. Atwood, 6.2 gal. Pilot light will ignite, then about 30 seconds, it goes off. Why??? Please help. TY

Try lightly sanding the tip of the thermocouple. It may not be reading that the pilot is on. Good luck

If you don't have the users manual , they are available from the Atwood web site as a free pdf, and have troubleshooting info.
Be sure you get the correct model number for the file; newer info on electronic ignition models won't do you any good on a pilot light unit.
