2000 Damon Intruder Ladder

Our ladder was loose at all the joints so I took it apart to install new hardware (screws, bolts, internal nuts). Now I am ready to put it back together and I noticed that 2 of the 6 standoffs (horizontal tubes that connect vertical ladder to rear of RV) are shorter than the other 4. And I don't know which location the short ones are supposed to go. Does anybody have a 2000 Intruder and can you let me know where the shorter standoffs go? Upper, middle or lower? 2 standoff tubes are 5.75" long and 4 are 6.50" long. Thank You

That does help. It looks like the shorter standoffs a at the bottom.
Thank You.
PS: That 2000 Intruder looks lots better than mine!

Don't know if you got your ladder stand-offs sorted out.

Had some bodywork done to my 2006 Intruder and the repair shop mounted the post in the wrong positions. On my MH, the short ones go on the inside.

The back cap is curved slightly towards the side edges so the short stand-offs are on the inside and the longer ones on the outside to keep your ladder square to the roof.

hope this makes sense.

PS: I don't use mine, I prop my extendable step ladder against it so I don't cause the issue you had to deal with. I might use it if I was 120 lbs but unfortunately, I am a little heavier than that!!
