Smile 2006 Challenger 348 shore power

Plugged into shore all works great!

Un-plug and start generator, no power to the AC, etc.

Suspect shore power relay assembly, would not mind buying the complete assembly to up date everything. Need help with "what to buy"!

Do you have power to everything other than ACs? If not, have you checked the breakers on the genny?

Unhappy Breakers/ gen/shore power

All breakers OK, which is why we suspect the gen/shore auto relay device! It is the IOTA unit that has had the reports of it catching fire!

We have contacted IOTA as we heard a rumor that they had a recall! Have not heard back form them yet!

One would believe that they would be happy to supply a new changeover device, rather than pay for a burned down MH! Or loss of life! But then one never knows!

Transfer switch

Just purchased a new transfer switch from Amazon, to replace the IOTA, ITS-50R! While I am not afraid of much, the potential for burning down by MH with me in it is not one that I wish to face.

Many reports of issues with the IOTA ITS-5R and the fact that they have discontinued it made me do this. They did (at one time!) offer a replacement thru the MH mfgs., but it has been so hard to get anything from Thor we did not go that way!

Hopefully we will sleep better now!

BTW the transfer switch is in the far drivers side corner of the bedroom, under the very bottom drawers in that corner. Take out the drawers and there is all the cabling, still not easy to get into! Just next to the breaker panels.
